The FGSC's 2014 FL/GA Spring Championship series continued April 13th, with lots of close competition at Pax Trax Mx Park! Many spectators gathered to watch the racing, and were treated to an exciting three rider battle for the lead in the Lites C class. Beck's Tech's Hunter Hawkins (KTM #434) would take the win ahead of teammate Danny Diciaccio (YAM #515), and Mark Zerrusen (HON #11). Both Zerrusen and Diciaccio each race other classes and would emerge victorious in those races. Zerrusen would race in the largest class of the day, the D/C Unlimited class, with 22 riders. He would be victorious both motos, with John Haller (HON #33) and Derek Hopkins (KAW #264) finishing second and third respectively. Danny Diciaccio would race again in the MX C class, finishing first both motos and taking the win. Honda rider John Haller would finish second, and Chris Mcintyre (YAM #8) would finish third.

The close racing action would continue with the smaller bikes as well. Jazzmyn Canfield would battle with Team BTR rider Brett Meade in the 85cc 12-15 class, but Meade would get the win. KTM rider Hunter Blackledge finished in third. In the 85cc 10-11 class, young Rowdy Houston (KAW #155) would take the win over Trent Payne (YAM #117) and Greyson Jackson (YAM #33).

Even the little 50cc bikes had a day of competitive racing on the peewee track! The 50cc 4-6 class win went to Tyler Mollet (COB #20), with Limay Rivera (KTM #73) in second, and Collin Stump (COB #02) in third. Michael Derico won the 50cc 7-9 class over the second place rider Nathan Jefferey (COB #51) and third place rider Ryder Gwynn (KTM #5). Tyler Mollet (COB #20) rode to the win again in the 50cc Open class. Ryder Gwynn (KTM #5) and Nathan Jefferey (COB #51) finished second and third. In the 50cc Beginner class it was Jack Sessions who would be the winner, with Dyllon Kimsey (KTM #529) and Trace Kopka (KTM #98) racing to second and third place finishes respectively.

Most classes throughout the day were full of close races, with rider after rider ending up "almost" TOO CLOSE in midair. One rider, however, seemed to avoid the other competitors quite well by running away with the lead, and the win, in all SIX motos that he raced. That rider was Dawson Stark (KTM #91). The Beck's Tech Racing (Team BTR) rider took the win in the105-250cc 12-15, Lites B, and 2-Stroke Open classes, and made the huge jumps look easy! This is surely a rider who everyone should keep watching!
