The excitement of the FGSC Series racing continues on at round #3 of the 2013 FL/GA EverRev Fall Classic at Pax Trax Mx Park in Bunnell, Florida. Racers at the November 10th event put on quite a racing show for family, friends, and spectators. The Pax Trax layout and style of riding always delivers a plentiful amount of ooooos, and aaaaaahs from spectators, who have come to cheer on the racers as they fly over the track's many jumps.
Motocross families and friends were able to enjoy some great food at the Pax Snax concession stand, manned by Bunnell's finest Italian restaurant, Terranovas. Terranovas also served items such as sausage-peppers-onion subs, meatball subs, and chicken parm subs. Great food, great weather, and great racing made for a picture perfect moto weekend. FLMN just happened to catch a few "picture perfect" family moments on film at the starting gates, where dads were offering encouraging words and helping their riders to prepare for their race.
The day started out with racing on the pee-wee track, where 50cc Beginner rider Trenton Mcclain (KTM #715) rode in an eleven rider beginner class to take the win. Fabian Nunez (COB #10) and Logan Mortberg (KTM #51) finished second and third. The 50cc 4-6 class top three results went to Colton Trouille (COB #615), Chase Matott (KTM #57), and Logan Mortberg (KTM #51). Christopher Achatz (KTM #124) won the 50cc 7-9 class, with David Frank (#292) airing it out and taking second place, and Zane Spires (KTM #108) finishing in third. The three would race each other again in the 50cc Open class, but the victory would go to another rider, Colton Trouille (COB #615). Racing then moved to the main track, where the great racing would continue with the larger bikes.
The 85cc 12-15 winner was Justin Maloy (HON #55), who ran away with the win in the Super Mini class as well. Rowdy Houston (KAW #155) won the 85cc 10-11 class, winning both motos. Darek Pixton (SUZ #19), who finished second in the 85cc 10-11 class, was the winner in the Junior Mini class with 1-1 moto finishes. The 85cc Beginner class winner was Greyson Jackson (YAM #33).
Preston Tyson (KAW #412) was the Vet A $$ class winner, and also took the win in the Plus 40 class. The Open Money class win went to Jason Frank, with James Nagy and Allen Arnst finishing second and third respectively. Jason Frank also won the MX A class. The MX B, Open Am No A, and 16-29 classes were all won by Tristan Lane (KAW #11) with 1-1 moto finishes in each class.
One of the larger classes of the day was the D-C Unlimited class, which was won by Mark Zerrusen (HON #11). As is usually the case, the Lites C class was the largest of the day, with fierce racing in each moto. Timmy Shepherd (KAW #38) brought home the win in both the Lites C and MX C classes.
