2015 FL/GA Spring Championship, Round #4

The 2015 FL/GA Spring Championship visited Bunnell, Florida for some Round #4 racing action at Pax Trax Mx Park! The weather, and the competitive racing, were just the sort of stuff that reminds Florida's motocrossers why they have it so good. Racing started off on the Pax Trax Pee-wee track, with the 50cc classes boasting some of the largest classes of the day. The 50cc Beginner class was the second largest class of the day, with 17 young riders competing for the number one spot. The gate dropped, and it was Caiden Frazzini (COB #13) who charged ahead of the competition, and took the win! Frazzini repeated the performance in moto 2, and won the 50cc Beginner class with 1-1 moto scores. The 50cc Open class saw a great ride by Chase Matott (KTM #57), with Matott winning both motos, and the overall. Matott would race again in the very next race, the 50cc 7-9 class, where he would again emerge the victor, with 1-1 moto scores. In the 50cc 4-6 class, Calen Myers (KTM #73) rode well, charging hard and taking the win in both motos.

       

Racing on the main track was also full of action, especially in the Lites C class. Mark Zerrusen (YAM #11) and Connor Fortune (KAW #185) would each see a moto win, but the overall would belong to Zerrusen, with 2-1 finishes. Fortune would go on to compete against 20 other racers in the busy D-C UNLIM class, taking the win with 1-1 moto scores. The Plus classes were again dominated by Barry Mccarty (KTM #27), who took the win in the +35, +45, and +50 classes. The Lites B, MX B, and Open AM No A classes were all won by Tristan Lane (KAW #11). Lane would put on quite a show, racing ahead of every class on the track, and finishing it off with a heel clicker! The MX A class was won by Jason Frank (SUZ #353), and the Open Money class by Ian Chia (YAM #910).

Maddox Spatafore (KTM #116) would ride his machine to victory in both the Jr Mini and 85cc 12-15 classes, winning every moto. Chase Matott (KTM #57) left the Pee-wee track, and moved to the big track, aboard his larger 65cc machine. Matott took the win in the 65cc 7-9 class, winning both motos. Colin Dellarco was the winner in the 65cc 10-11 class. Dellarco also won a moto in the 65cc Open class, but Jared Cannon (KTM #171) would take the win with his 2-1 moto scores.

   

Only two rounds remain to decide the 2015 FL/GA Spring Championship series winners. The battles continue, as the FGSC racing action returns to Bostwick Creek Mx Park on May 17, 2015.
