Bostwick, FL         August 27, 2017

The Florida Motocross Series and FL/GA Championship Series continued on with the combined series racing at Bostwick Creek Motocross Park on August 27th. The Bostwick race marked the start of the FL/GA Fall Championship, and riders seemed pleased to get the Fall series started. The morning's racing started off on the Pee Wee track, with the 50cc (4-6) and 50cc BEG classes. Roxyn Rinehart (COB #452) would take the win in the 50cc (4-6) class, followed by Gaige Jackson (YAM #19) and Blake Ninesling (KTM #999). The 50cc BEG class win would go to Moto Harris (YAM #314). As the other 50cc classes continued on the Pee Wee track, this gave Main track riders the chance for last minute preparations before the racing would move to the Main track.

The first motos on the Main track went well, but racers were not so fortunate with their second motos. The clouds, which looked more and more ominous throughout the day, had finally decided to drop their water. Many racers raced their second motos amongst both rain and mud. Rider after rider would pass by, with their goggles hanging on their arm, and faces full of mud! They rode on with determination, battling both each other, and the weather. The largest gate on the Main track was the combined 250 BEG/D and 250 C race. Cory Creel (HON #55) would ride to the win in the 250 BEG/D class, and Darek Pixton (YAM #219) would take the win in the 250 C class. After a day full of rain and mud, racers will certainly be looking forward to drier weather when they head to Orlando Mx Park for the next round of racing on September 10th. The September 10th race will be a special one, as it will be a combination of THREE different motocross series! The Florida Motocross Series, the FGSC's FL/GA Fall Championship, and Kenny Yoho's I4MX Series will combine for this race, and there is sure to be some exciting racing! FLMN will definitely be there to check out all the moto fun!
